Quad Biking in Zanzibar: Hidden Beaches, Villages and Sunset

1 min read

Quad biking is the best way to discover the real Zanzibar, far from the hotels: red earth tracks, palm trees, villages and hidden beaches. It is also our favourite activity, the one that started Osseliche in Nungwi in 2020.

The route

  • Jomba Beach: a wild, secret beach where you stop for photos and a swim.

  • Forest and rocky trails: the real off-road part of the ride.

  • Kidoti village: meet the families, dance, learn a few words of Swahili, sometimes help with the cooking.

  • Kendwa Beach: fresh fruit and a coconut opened in front of you, and the sunset on the afternoon tour.

Shared or private?

  • Guided group tour: about 4 hours, departures at 9:00 or 14:00, US$70 per quad (up to 2 people).

  • Private tour: your group only, about 2 h 30, US$100 per quad, from 2 quads per booking.

Never driven a quad?

No problem. Our guides give you a helmet, a safety briefing and a few minutes of practice at our base. The CF Moto quads are easy to drive, and a passenger can ride behind you.

What to bring

  • Light clothes that can get a little dusty

  • Sunglasses and sun cream

  • Swimsuit for the beach stop

  • Your phone or camera for the photos
